What’s in a Shoot?

portrait photography

What do you get out of a one hour photoshoot in a single location? Lots of folks think all the images will look the same and are nervous about being in front of the camera.

Here is an example of a one hour family photo shoot in Cathedral Park here in Portland, OR. In a typical hour-long photo session, we capture some posed images and a lot of casual photos. You’ll notice in our family session that we have lots of backgrounds and poses – forest, bridge, pathways, and beach – all in one park location. We’ll also have combinations of the family together, in segments, and solo shots. I love to get some documentary style photographs, as well, because there is nothing better than seeing people interact naturally throughout their day. If the party is interested, we can always do a few quick headshots too while you’re already looking your best!
