When folks talk to me about taking photos of their small children, they always express nervousness about getting kids to look at the camera, let alone smile. But that, my friends, is where the magic of motherhood comes in. I am the parent of a toddler and very comfortable spending most of my days acquiring grass-stained elbows and puddle-soaked feet here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
A photoshoot with little kids isn’t about posing – it’s about playing. I love seeing what treasures they choose from nature as we wander the parks for our outdoor photo sessions. Figuring out what makes them giggle and what new tricks they’re excited to show off is part of the fun!
